American Idol has broken all records from Season 1 through to season 8, when it comes to ratings.
Not only is Idol ranked on top of the Nielsen ratings for 2009 it actually grabbed the top two slots. Wednesday night’s results show came in on top – obviously people want to see who gets the boot even if they missed the performances the night before.
“Idol” also helped Fox claim its fifth consecutive season as the No. 1 network among adults 18-49.
